Network Connectivity issues

Our network team has isolated the issue and identified the cause as the earlier fault with a core router at our Byfleet facility. The router passed health checks automatically and re-joined the network, causing disruption as to some of our inbound network traffic while routing path changes were propagated to other peers on the internet.

Our team have manually reviewed the routers event logs and will continue monitoring system health closely.

Network operations have been restored, and services should be accessible as usual. 

Our networking team are investigating the issue further to prevent any recurrence.

We have received a number of alerts around network connectivity issues impacting our hosting platform at one of our datacentres.

Our networking team are currently investigating this as a matter of urgency.

Network connectivity issues

After further investigation by our networking team, this issue has been identified as a fault with one of our core routers at our Byfleet site. The device has unexpectedly stopped responding causing our networks to automatically reroute around the failed device. Due to the unexpected and sudden loss of this device, there was a 5-10 minute of disruption to some of our inbound network traffic whilst routing path changes were propagated to other peers on the Internet.

Our network is now functioning normally again. We have dispatched an engineer to the site to further investigate the physical failure of this device.

We will further update this status post if and when there needs to be any work to reintroduce it back into our network.
